The Rookies is a global competition for young designers, creators, innovators, and artists. After got awesome achievements in 2016 which received a total of 1,824 entries from 479 schools in 77 countries. The Rookies 2017 competitions finally kicks off. Required software: 3ds Max, V-ray, Fumefx, AE, Video Gogh (Video Gogh is an AE watercolor oil painting plug-in produced by RevisionFx Analyzing Reference Sheet 1. The character model can be divided into two layers: The first layer is the VR standard material rendering of skin, where the mapping is required to paint. The second layer is the outline of character model's rendering, where the VRayEdgesTex is added (as the below figure). Finally, the AE overlay handling is required. 2. The rendering method is the same as above, PFX is used to create the dress on the character model. 3. Render method is the same as above, Fumefx is used to render the background ink effect, with different color overlay after. 4. The production method is the same as above, and the skirt part is rendered separately by using Fumefx. 5.
